You should lose weight anyway. Being over weight is not healthy.

Well, in terms of the wedding, that's optional, but if you think you can lose some weight, then go for it.
However, the wedding is not the issue. The health is very important. Whether there is a wedding or not, should try to stay healthy, right?? =)

YES!!!! I just went through that for my sister's wedding. I was her maid of honor and all of her friends were bridesmaids and sizes 2-8. Went to www.weightloss4idiots.com, exercised and lost 30 lbs.! You'll be much more comfortable and confident, especially taking pictures.

Lose weight if that is your goal. You are not defined by the few extra pounds you carry. I am prone to carry extra weight, I compensate for this by being competitive body builder. I work out to the point that some would call excessive, this is because I need to avoid obesity.

If you think losing weight is the answer you are wrong, I used to be called names because I was fat, now I am shallow and stupid because I am muscular, it never stops, just Be yourself and to heck with everyone elses opinion.

I wouldn't lose weight just for the wedding. You should only lose weight for yourself. I had a friend who got married and told me to lose 10 lbs so I would look better in the pictures...

Needless to say we are no longer friends.

That's your choice. Your friend obviously doesn't have a problem with your weight or she wouldn't have asked you to be in the wedding.

i would probably try to, but i would expect the bride to be happy with me the way i am. I have heard of people not wanting some of their friends in the wedding because they were over weight.

If you are want to get a little healthier for yourself, then go for it sensibly.

But I think if your friend wants you in the wedding, she "loves you warts and all". ;-)

Personally, I prefer BBW's (Big Beautiful Women). As my Latino friend says, "Meat is for the man, bone is for the dog."
