Hugo Chavez's U.N. speech seems to vocalize what many Democrats and liberals feel. Presumably for political safety, they are rushing to defend the president. How do you feel about that?

No, and at 6 am this morning I wrote the House:

Why is Rep Wrangle defending Bush? Chavez is right, he is the devil and he is an Alcoholic (and daddy did help him get into school! How else does a C- grad from Yale get admitted to Harvard Business? No one I know can! Is that Affirmative Action for the rich?)!

Bush needs to be impeached and it is damn time you guys did something about it! He has almost 3,000 troops killed over oil, he goes after Iran who are within their rights under the NPT, he (and you) cut widows benefits of soldiers killed in Iraq, Bush cut the VA some 8 Billion in FY 2006 and you are giving tax cuts to the rich! What is wrong with you people? Who do you represent??

We know who is getting rich, while you guys run up the deficit, have no accounting by the GAO for Iraq for the almost 3/4 TRILLION you have spent, which is required by the constitution, and you are letting Bush gut the 4th Amendment! Have you no shame???

A nine-figure fortune won't get you much mention these days, at least not in these pages. This year, for the first time, everyone on The Forbes 400 has at least $1 billion. The collective net worth of the nation's wealthiest climbed $120 billion, to $1.25 trillion.

Surging real estate, oil and other asset prices paved the way for 28 new members. Developer John P. Manning used political savvy to build a $1.1 billion fortune, in part by brokering low-income housing projects.

Chesapeake Energy founders Aubrey McClendon and Tom L. Ward are two of the oil fortunes added to the list. Pouring 40 million caffeinated drinks a week landed Starbucks honcho Howard Schultz on our list of America's 400 richest.

If you continue to act like you do, we'll start another party!! WE ARE TIRED OF YOU PEOPLE!!!

The only reason they did is because they know some savvy republican strategist will make an ad showing Pelosi and Rangel saying the same things Hugo did.

Isnt it funny that you admit that Chavez's opinion (One of Americas greatest enemies) is in line with the opinion of filthy Dumbocraps?

Anyway, Rangel and Pelosi are only pandering votes and trying to look patriotic and not the actual flag burning baby killers that they really are. Thats all, they dont actually disagree with Chavez, they just want the American people to think they half way represent the people. (Which they dont unless you live in Berkley, CA)

It wasn't a defense.
As bad as Bush's performance has been - being a Devil would be an excuse. Incompetence and Stupidity of Bush is the real problem.

well... I think for many, there are so many legitimate reasons to criticize Bush.... why really sink to the level of name calling... it kind of hurts your credibility...

I don't think it's so much rushing to defend him... as much as it is saying... "this is not the right way to do things and it will only help them"

Im suprised they didnt play the "Wow look at all the enemies Bush has magically created of the US" CARD. Its in their deck, it has been dealt before and we'll see it again when they feel it is to their political advantage.
