Names for babies, as a general rule, have significance. Often the name suggests a hope or a dream for the child. Sometimes names represent fantasies of the parents.
Many are named after beloved parents or grandparents to honor them.
Many have biblical names that represent finer character traits of strength and integrity.
Some names have no meaning at all.
Whatever name you decide, be sure it has a meaning that you can explain to your child in later years.
Hopefully it won't just be a name you selected off the internet.

Congratulations! I have two sons (15 and 12) and although I'm sure I am biased I think boys are the best. They adore their moms and aren't gossipy, judgemental and mean the way girls, especially at this age can be. They teach me so much every day.
As for names, mine are Michael Warner and Samuel Ernest. Both have their grandfather's names as middle names and the Michael and Samuel I just liked. Now they go by Mike and Sam, but not to me. I think a boy should have a classic name, not a trendy one. It needs to be one that they can grow into as men. Also, using the middle name of a loved one is not only appreciated by that person, but gives the child a sense of family ties.
Best wishes on the new love of your life.

How about Hercules ? Or one of the other Greek Gods of the mythology ?
You don't need to be sorry dear heart. You may find a beautiful name from one of the answers that you had not thought of before you asked he question. It does not really matter in which category you have asked your question. There are great people in here and that makes it a lot of different suggestions.

Nicholas is a very nice name. Call him nick. Or any other Greek names are nice, they are strong sounding and have strong meanings. I like to study Greek history and mythology, and I am Greek.

Give him a strong, masculine and classic name. Nothing too trendy. Joseph, Michael, Alexander, James, Matthew, Paul, John, etc. Find one that works for you, and go with that.
