I always got the budget billing when I lived on my own...I think that it is easier to pay a set amount and know what it is going to be than be totally shocked by the price of the bill. My boyfriend who I live with now doesn't care so we just pay whatever they bill us.

Well, fixed is good if your trying to stick to a budget, but there is a month that they average it all out and you have to pay the balance. So there is one month when the payment my be big. Variable is good also, but you never really know how much you have to pay each month....... so I would start with the fixed, and if it doesn't work, go to the variable

We have ours on a fixed rate and pay the budget billing. That way we know what our bill is every month. It's always the same and never changes until the next year when we sign up again.

Fixed rate. The variable will go up in the winter.
