Well the word women is broke up to WOMB=MEN. GUYS AND GIRLS are different genders and should have a different name that doesnt relate to men who have wombs, hello were not guys!!!!

Wow, a radical after my own heart. Hi. I wish you had made a suggestion. What could we be called? The word "man" is not Latin, but probably more Germanic in origin (Anglo-Saxon). There may be a word from this old root that we could use. That would give it the same source as the word for males. Other than that, I will suggest we be called liliths. And please keep on speaking out. Many of us are listening.

That isn't actually the etimology of the word, and most likely it isn't going to change, but if it makes you feel good to challenge the system, who am I to argue?

i kind of see your meaning...i guess guys should call us ladies then....but the word woman has been around so long i think it will stick... a woman was made out of one of adams ribs...that could be explain some of why we are called woman....god made adam and he was alone so he made eve, the woman to be his helpmate in life....so on..........
