Don't worry; you can. Go to your Control Panel and click on Internet Options (it's an icon with a monitor with a globe behind it). When that window pops up, there will be a place that says "Homepage" where you can type in the website that you want to use as your homepage. Type in my.yahoo.com, close any open Internet Explorers windows, and then you'll have my.yahoo.com as your homepage.

First off, do yourself a huge favor and use Firefox, the alternative to Internet Explorer. Download, install, run, go to Yahoo!, and follow the handy instructions for setting your home page. Done!
