I'll apologize for this.

I bet they don't bother with it Now!!! smiles.

It was an attraction, a toy of sorts, and very likely not worth what it might cost to fix. My ex has 7 cats, and the touch light is always ON,,, one stage or another. If it works at all count it as a cat plaything, or get another, or don't have a lamp they can turn on and off, until they learn how to operate the switch.

You can buy a new sensor for it at any hardware, Valu home center etc... It's located at the bottom of the lamp. You may have to peel the backing cover off to get to it. Just replace it using the color coded wires.

You can buy sockets that screw in the bulb socket from hardware stores that are supposed to convert lamps into touch lamps. That might work.

I wouldn't bother having it fixed as this will cost you more than the lamp itself. Use as a regular lamp or toss it.

This happened to my mom's once.
It started working again after one of us shocked it. We were running around on the carpet, built up some static electricity, we touched it and it started working again. It may have been a fluke, but hey give it a shot.
