Having spent a lot of time in both countries...
I'd say in general UK residents know more about the world outside their own country.
US residents generally are more "stuck" in their opinions, and less likely to change any opinions they have despite new information.
US residents in general shower/bathe more often than UK residents ;-) (ever been on the tube on a hot August day? Wow...hold your nose!)
US residents are a bit more friendly on the outside, but are harder to make long-lasting friendships with than UK residents. Many of their friendships are more superficial than in the UK.

That's a short list, and by no means complete...

US and UK residents drive on the opposite of the road to each other, and when pedestrians cross a street with traffic, US residents should look to the left first, UK residents to the right.

Another profound difference is: US residents are residing in a country considered to be the most powerful in the world during the last turn of the century. UK residents are living in a country that used to be the most powerful in the world during the turn of the century over a hundred years ago.

Most United Kingdom residents live in the UK, while most US residents live in the United States.
If you're asking about differences between the two cultures, each is politically unique, the UK has a long history while the US is still in the formative years, UK has respected traditions but the US hasn't had time to build any traditions. There are differences in humour (are there EVER differences in humour!!!) and in tolerance. US has its knickers in a knot about illegal immigrants, but the UK doesn't have a contiguous neighbour, so their points of view are very disparate. The US has never experience warfare on the scale that the UK has, and this colours their notions of going to war. They've been there and done that, and know the consequences.
And of course there is the difference between Mr. Bush and Queen Elizabeth. And maybe that is the most telling of all. A gracious lady versus ..... (fill in the blanks)

I think residents of the US are, in the main, unaware of and disinterested in events outside US borders. I think residents of the UK are MUCH more in touch with what's going on in the rest of the world.

Also, I think politics in the UK are more intricate and interesting. Lots of different splinter parties.

Lastly - and not insignificantly - the chocolate and biscuits/cookies in the UK are far superior to most offered in the US.
