I've never heard of that before. It's a rip-off! It sounds like they want to see to it that they get our money in the event they don't have the item(s) we're looking for and we leave the store empty handed.

You have to compare the cost of membership with the savings. Some products you usually buy may or may not be less expensive there as opposed to a typical grocery store. For example, at Costco you buy in bulk, this only works well for a large family so perishables dont go bad. But if you're single you may find that you get a better value elsewhere. Some memberships allow you to pool with others that pay credits back and end up paying for themselves...so membership is free.

Yeah it kinda sucks, but the deals are worth it in the long run. Especially if you have a large family or have to buy for classroom parties or meetings, it's great. I also kinda like the fact that not everyone in the world is in there. Because you usually have to hold certain jobs to be accepted.

I'm not going to pay to shop somewhere! That's crazy. I've been to Sam's with other people and never saw any savings anyway.

You have to pay to go in a store!! That's just stupid... I've never heard of that in the UK... Boycott it definitely.. Or alternatively look at the shop website... Unless they charge for that too?
They shouldn't be charging... It's a public shop...

Well i go to sams. i like the store, you can buy things in bulk and i think it's cheaper.
I think it's okay to pay to go into a store as long as your benefiting from it.

If I had a large family, yes. As an individual, never. Wal-Mart and Meijers (Michigan) beat their prices and you don't have to buy a case.
