Yes, I do.

How else can I get the full use out of that item? Especially a new car. On the last 3 cars I've bought, I've read the manual cover to cover.

None of this discovering 6 months from now what I could have been doing that I didn't know about.

It's also a good practice with kitchen appliances. It avoids misuse and possibly breaking the product. I've got my eyes on a new Kitchen Aid Food Processor at Bed Bath & Beyond. If I'd read the manual on my cheaper GE model, I might not have broken the plastic (cheap) lid.......ugh!

No, I always throw the manual aside, use the gadget and only read any part of the manual when I'm completely stuck figuring out the gadget.

I don't think that I've ever read the instruction manuals; most things seem easy to operate without technical details.

I'm pretty handy when it comes to figuring out how things work. I usually get my electronics up and running without benefit of the manuals. But I will refer to them to fine tune or program my machine if need be.

Only if I really can't figure it out on my own. I usually try playing with it first and then go to the manual if I'm too dumb to do it.

Always. Because if you screw around with it for awhile you end up reading the instructions anyway.

Never read the instructions if you don't have to.

"When all else fails -- read the manual.
