Yes, we should repent for our wrong actions. If it goes against what God says we should repent and not take him for granted.

Forgiveness is a personal thing. I think u need to forgive yourself before asking 4 it.
Asking God to forgiveness should only be used when we really need it like when the 10 commandments are broken by us or other serious wrongs. I don't think we need to both him with every little indiscrection. It is pointless.

Absolutely not.

Your underlying premise is that people agree with your theology. I don't deny the power of faith.... I've seen people both before and after finding it, and surely the difference can be profound. At the end of the day though, this is a tool that people use to tap the power within; because of a run of bad luck or whatever, they just can't believe it comes from them.

In regards to forgiveness and absolution... in some ways the Christian notion is the easy way out. I've done some wrong things... perhaps wrong doesn't even begin to describe them. If I can sleep at night, its ok.... and the things become part of life's experience to learn from and (hopefully) not be repeated.

Well we better ask someone for forgiveness, cause what goes around... comes around. If you believe in God then why not... if you don't then search your mind for the last person you were disrespectful to, & appologize... if they forgive you then you're a better person for it, if they don't then remind yourself of the mistake for next time so you don't need forgiveness.
Our world could use a lot more humility!

Yes. It shows we're sorry. He's not just gonna let you run around doing everything under the sun and forgiving you. You have to stop and sincerely ask his forgiveness.
