my ipod is not turning on when i put it to charge on the computer. i dont know wats wrong with it sum 1 help!!

iam wondering if iam supposed to leave it for the whole night cuz its completly dead if it is let me know. thankz u

Let it sit on there, also make sure the computer is on. To reset the ipod, (it won't erase your songs) hold down the middle button and the menu button at the same time.
