i actually have both versions.
the blue version is for the DS, and the red version is for GBA.
the only difference between the two is that each version has five exclusive pokemon. you can't get plusle in blue, and you can't get minun in red, for example.
they are both exactly the same game though, and two versions of red (friends, for example) can trade items, just as two versions of blue can do the same.
my red copy had my team die in mt. chasm (i know, i'm shocked too) and my blue team went in there and saved them.
if your team was to die, you can send SOS mail, and choose password, then perhaps give the wonder mail password to me, i can go in and save you, then give you the appropriate password to save you, you'll be back to life with full health and moves. even though you don't know me. that's what is so nifty about this game.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue Rescue Team is only for Gameboy DS. The Red Rescue Team is for Gameboy Advance.

No! Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Blue is for Nintendo DS while Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red is for Gameboy Advance. And Jacki Jinx they still make new games for the regular Advance!!

Sorry honey, it's only for the DS. See, new handheld Nintendo games are made to be compatible only for the Nintendo DS. No games are made to be compatible with the regular Game Boys anymore.
