He talks and acts stupid. Nonsensical answers and silly smile when dealing with serious subjects. But, as some of his defenders here have pointed out, he has been elected President of the U.S., twice. How can that be explained?
Experienced and devious people (Cheney/Rumsfeld ilk) decided he would be an easily-indoctrinated and malleable flag-carrier. His ex-President father would ensure backing from the Conservative party and big-pocket contributors.
And they got him elected, not once but twice.
If I were a potential Conservative candidate in the next general election, I would think twice, or twenty times, about running on the mess the Bushies have created.
Especially their sponsorship of torture of suspected (remember that) terrorists. True Christians must be made uneasy about that, whatever their political stripe.

I think that the fact that he was elected to the most powerfull possition in the free world would say No he is not stupid. As for excusses if people would stop asking stupid questions and let him do his work, he wouldnt have to give stupid answers. It is fun to listin to him talk though and I think one of his ears is bigger than the other.

Bush is one of the smartest politicians certainly in my lifetime. He is sitting on a 9 trillion dollar debt, has 3 million of his own people sitting in jails all over America, and a string of dead soldiers that won't end. Oh, yes, he is still sitting in the White house.

Honestly, I do believe he is less than 'very intelligent' putting it nicely.

I also think that he is waking up recently to the fact that he is the scapegoat and he is the one that is going to go down in the history books as a complete failure... case in point, he has finally decided to get advice other than Cheney and Rumsfeld.

Actually, he took an IQ test once. His score was printed newspapers nationwide a few years ago. It was 91, if I remember right, which is grounds for remedial learning in some school districts.

(Yes, I'm serious.)

Whether or not this was fabricated is unknown to me. However, I would be willing to bet money on its truth.

No, but every question asked by Liberals in this forum seems to be lamer than the last.

Yes, he is stupid. He's a terrible president and an incredibly moronic person. Everyday he rules the USA it gets worse.

If he is so stupid, why is it the demoncrats couldn't beat him twice? Don't give me that "he stole the elections" garbage! If either Algore or Kerry were and good, they wouldn't have been close enough to "steal"!

I heard an interview with his econ professor from college who said he was lazy, he never did any work, and so he failed constantly, and when he did he always blamed others. Sounds familiar. How in the name of God does anybody believe or trust this man?
