So I post a question asking if people think true love is possible at age 16, and STATE that I am 25, just looking for opinions. And yet I still get lectures about how I am too young. Holy crap that's annoying!!! Why don't people read the whole thing??

Yeh, but sometimes you get a bit absorbed in your answer, especially if you are in a lecture mood! Or sometimes you are just too eager to ask the question so you can't be bothered to read all the little details.

Anyway true love obviously isn't possible at 16, unless we're talking family etc.

They were calling your bluff. Why would a 25 year old need to ask such a dumb question? You must be 16.

they simply do that because people are pessimists and it is in their nature to give annoyingly long lectures
