Me & my boyfriend having long distance relation from last 1 year.My bfri has commitment fobia. I am 21 now & after 4 year relation I need some kind of promise. His parents are very strict & they may not accept our relation, but its a lame excuse.He is also need some time(3year).which is fine ,but after that is still not sure.

if he has commitment phobia, more likely he will never commit that strongly to you. every minute he gets closer to a more serious relationship repels him/keeps him away. if he needs some time, give it to him but please think so many times if he is worth the risk and you really love him because time is something you can never take back. it may take forever you never know. to some people, it's not the outcome that matters as long as they are happy or satisfied. if this situation makes you sad and unsure, you're probably taking the wrong boat. if he really loves you, after the 3 year time you gave him, he will look for you, hopefully not too late. hopefully he's ready and willing to commit. sometimes, things happen at a wrong time. follow your heart but use your mind.

my situation is a little differnt. my fiance has been wanting to get married for 3 years. i am not ready yet. we live together and have been together for 7 years, but for some reason i am afraid that if we do get married that things will change.
in your case he is to far away. he will never committ. find someone closer and go from there... you are 21 don't be in a hurry...

I do not know what really go on in your relationship but it problem and only you can solve it. It may be that he just does not want to commitment to you or he just might not want to be tie down. You must move with your life and stop wondering why. Cut your loses and brush yourself off. You going to drive yourself crazy my wondering why and waiting.

find somebody closer because eventually after the tree years pass by he'll say he needs 3 more or its not gonna work
