I am sure that most people will answer Yosemite to this question. Which is without doubt a wonderful place.

However, I would pick Redwood National Park in the North West. The trees are somehow more magical then the landscape because they are living. A close second would be Kings Canyon and Sequoia for the same reasons

Yosemite National park I think is the best and most interesting! You can do many day trips through Yosemite and not see the entire park since it is so big. What I would do is park your car at the Parking lot for all backpacking and hiking trips. Make sure you bear proof your car. Hike from there up to the back side of Half Dome!! It is 16 miles round trip and you should break it up into 2 days. I would hike up to Nevada falls, stop and play in the river for a while, then go about another 2 miles and find a place to camp for the night. Then get up the next morning and hike the rest of the way up to Half Dome!!! Then when you get to Half Dome, you can go up the cables on the back side of Half Dome!!

Also, if you are in Yosemite, I would go see Tuolomne Meadows and just take in Natures Beauty. Also there is the Yosemite Gem and Mining Museum. There is alot to do in Yosemite...I would do a camping trip in the summertime and avoid paying the cost of lodging!!! That way you can hike through the park and camp anywhere you want!!!!!!!! Have fun!!!!!!!!

I gotta go with Redwood. There is nothing on earth as magnificent as the giant redwoods. A walk amongst them gives a person a lot of perspective.

Wow...really tough quesiton, because there are so many!

I'd have to pick Lassen, just because I think volcanoes are cool.

Sequoia is probably next on my list...The giant trees are a site to see, to be sure!
