i go to a private school. and this school decided that my grade would go to china.
i was so happy at first, but yesterday, my teacher told me that we have to wear our uniform on the first/last day. i'm sooo unhappy. do you think there's a way to make 60's-style-clothes look good?
or at least cheer me up!!!!!!!

Your class will visit China? Do I understand this correctly?
Uniforms? Get over it, sweetheart. Have a little school pride. I suppose you are sure you have some cool outfits to wear, but not everybody may have the best clothes, and having the school uni's works out for those who don't have many clothes. You won't even have to pack that much.
So get over yourself. Imagine you could be much worse off, living in a place where you're lucky to wear a dirty cotton skirt and a blouse. You seem to be spoiled beyond compare.
Make you cheer up? Watch the Comedy channel. Or read some comics. I'm not here to entertain you, sweetheart.

Well... you ONLY have to wear them on the first an last day... and it's probably so nobody gets lost inthe airports and so that you are easy to spot...
It sounds like you get to wear whatever you want for the rest of the trip... so really, it's a good deal...
I mean... you get to go to CHINA... you are going to have a great time... who cares what they think of you... your styles are all going to be waaaay different from theirs anyway so they'll think you look funny no matter what.

Many schools in China require uniforms. People won't care.

uniforms are actually in right now. Now a days you can make a uniform to your liking and to were you wont look wierd or totally out of it.

who cares....u have a great opportunity to go to CHINA and view other cultures..y are u thinking about clothes? If u feel really self conscious, mess it up somehow with dirt or rip a hole in your skirt. You can afford a new one right?

play with your hair. make it as nice as possible or something. acceserize with your fav jewlery.
