This is homework HELP. That means GUIDING people to HELP them figure out how to do their homework. It doesn't mean DO their homework for them. For those of you who DO the actual work -- why are you so desperate for points that you keep doing homework for other people??

➔ Homework Help
Apparently, there is a reading comprehension problem here. I am talking about DOING the work for someone (not cool) versus HELPING someone learn (VERY cool). This is called homework HELP HELP HELP... not "do my homework" --- HELP these kids by NOT spoonfeeding them the answers. HELP them by guiding them with hints and starting points. HELP them. HELP HELP HELP. If you just DO the work for them so they can just copy YOUR work, then they are CHEATING and YOU are helping them cheat....

I'd rather send a kid to his class with a copied answer, than with a blank sheet of paper.
Usually, though, the answers and explanations are so good, that the kid will actually learn something by reading through them!

for sure homework is important. So in many circumstances instructors do not lecture in lecture rooms anymore (partly because pupil do not continually pay interest). by making use of assigning homework, the instructor can tell even if a pupil is grasping the content fabric of what's being taught. Many pupil ought to easily skate by making use of with out homework. at the same time as i'm extremely particular you look at it as an "evil" imagine of it as a "necessary evil" because it really is improving you understanding. you may no longer imagine so now, yet down the way as you strengthen older, you'll imagine back and say to your self "oh i learn about that" and that's probable due on your homework.

I am not after the points when I answer Homework Help. I am testing my own skills as it has been 40+ years since I was in high school. I get a rush if I actually remember something. I try not to do the whole thing, but give direction. Besides, I heard that they are going to do away with this category.

For some children and adolescents, gone are the days when parents are home at night and/or weekends. Also, gone are the days when all of our parents spoke the primary language of instruction and did the same or similar work when they were in school. I provide assistance because I suspect that those who turn to this forum for explanations do not have other feasible resources and legitimately need help. I recognize that this may not be true in all cases but I would rather give the benefit of doubt than not. When I do provide assistance, I do my best to provide an explanation as well as an answer so that the person has an appropriate example to refer to for similar questions and problems.

It's not for the points. It's a good way to help MYSELF remember the information. After all, teaching someone else what I remember and learned in school is the best way for me to retain the info.

Bravo! I feel the same way, too! I think it would be nice to give others some hints or guidelines to help them get started but not just do their work for them. Yahoo Answers shouldn't be a platform to cheat.

Hear!! Hear!! Nightly I give that lecture to those who ask others to do their homework. It is a matter of character and integrity. Helping is NOT doing, and those who do instead of help are as guilty of cheating as the youngster they delusionally think they are "helping."
Chow!!!

I am getting so bored of this question. Go into another category if you don't like what's in this one. I like helping people and I'm fed up with pompous people coming in here telling the rest of us we shouldn't do this and that .... I don't DO their homework, I DO try to assist people who ask nicely

Why would you think that way? Why does it offend you? You seem jealous of people.
People want to help or apply knowledge not used in sometime to keep them fresh.
brain food is brain food. Not saying communication isn't a need nor feeling a part of something.

If you look at like that, doesn't sound good!
But at the same time, you are learning from history, or from autos!!
