I am doing research on what other people think what are considered child abuse and what is not. Stuff like spanking, yelling, ect.

Please do not mention anything sexual. Why? Because it is discusting to read and it's obviously abuse and the deadliest moral sin.

Discuss!

I was always told that abuse is anything that could bring any physical or mental harm to a child.

Martin 523 has a pretty dogmattic narrow view of this!Unfortunataly, not everyone is as smart and holy as he is. Sometimes things happen before you are ready and you make the best of it for you and the child. If you spank a kid because you are mad at him. That can be bad. If you spank him because you need to teach him something, that is good (provided it warrants a spanking).

Child abuse consists of any act, or failure to act, that endangers a child's physical or emotional health and development. Someone is abusive if he or she fails to nurture the child, physically injures the child.

In my opinion, it is child abuse when people who are not emotionally or financially prepared to have children do so anyway just because they want to.
