How do you cut the corners

They sell both interior and exterior corners that are pre-cut for rubber baseboards. You just cut the runner's edge with a utility knife and a straight edge to match where the corner piece ends.

A place I worked at had them. The rubber baseboards were stuck on with some sort of glue. And they were cut with razor blades. I think you go through alot of blades because we found alot of them. When I first started, our first job was construction cleanup and there were alot of blades on the floor near the baseboarding. (And it was a psychiatric hospital, ha ha!)

Buy outside corners where they sell the rubber base. Inside corners are easy too: butt one side to corner, cope the other corner to base profile. Use PL200 or some other construction adhesive to adhere them.
