Loss of skin elasticity, muscle tone and fat. Stretching out from weight fluctuations and pregnancies. Gravity is always present, but young girls don't usually have droopy boobs, unless it's hereditary, so that is obviously not the real reason. HTH.

i've heard that but i've also heard the opposite theory. i read somewhere that using a bra all the time causes the muscles in that area to atrophy, and therefore not hold the boobs up as well. not sure what's true but the thing i read makes a little more sense than the gravity theory, in my mind.

It has to do with the reduction in the "elastic" cells we have in our body. They decrease as we age, so not only do our breasts droop but our other body parts like our bums do too. If you want a proper medical response just Google it...ooops sorry Yahoo search it.

Not necessarily. If you breastfeed children this can cause or any pilling downwards too often - your partner - . Of course there are many reasons - your age etc

Yep they sure do. That and having kids. So if you have enough to wear a bra, then do so. Give them some support so they stay put!
