depends on what kind of museum, for great works of art: Musee de Louvre or the one in Rome?
I also think the Smithsonian in DC is good for space sciences
theres probably tons more, it really is based on what type of tast you have developed (??thats sounds kinda funny for a museum).

I wish I could go see them,

I'd say the British museum, the tate, the museum of natural history or the Royal Ontario museum.

There are so many that would qualify as best. However I've been to the Topkapi Museum in Istambul, and El Prado in Madrid and they are absolutely filled with with so much beauty and parts of history. I can't forget all of the marvelous objects and paintings I have seen there. I went once to Toledo ( Spain) too and visited one there too. It is difficult to say which one is the best. They are all to me! I love arts and history.
