Stand up somewhere and say, "I really wish I weren't a US citizen. It's a bad, bad thing!"

Now, if you want to REnounce your citizenship instead of simply DEnouncing it, then it's significantly more complicated. Basically, you have to have citizenship of another country or asylum in another country, be outside the US, convince the State Dept that you do not intend to live in the US afterward, and apply in a consul's office abroad.

It helps if you already have a dual citizenship. I had to get Mexican citizenship to be able to work legally over there and now I can work, own land and vote in Mexico.

I dunno going to a foreign embassy and doing so while asking for their citizenship.
