I bought some samples of mac pigments from ebay, and I know I can use them for eyeshadow. I want to know how to get the brightest color? Do I apply with a brush? Should it be wet or dry? Also, do I need a primer before using it as shadow?

Can someone recommend a cheap eyeshadow brush, also? Thanks!

1. Sonia Kashuk Eyeshadow Brushes are awesome and comparatively cheap but if you want something more 'high-end' but kinda cheap then try Sephora Brand shadow brushes or try Craft Stores for the cheapest
2. To get a bright look, you need a base--I use two..I first use L'Oreal Decrease so you're eyeshadow won't crease..obviously :p and then for a base I personally use a cream stick from i think covergirl...let me try to find you a link [http://www.covergirl.com/cgcollection/eyes/pencils/eyeslicks.jhtml] they're creamy and shimmery and I advise you to get a neutral color so you can use it with every pigment color.

Basically you put on the L'oreal Decrease and then the CG shade stick on top and blend smooth with your finger and then you apply the pigment VERY sparingly to your lid with your Sonia kashuk brush--oh I also advise you to get a fluffy eyeshadow brush..not stiff or thin but fluffy so you can blend sharp edges because they look tacky *sigh* and that is that, BTW what color pigments did you get? [I recommend Blue Brown pigment.]

L'Oreal's HIP line if eyecolour is fairly pretty pigmented, available in maximum drug and departments shops and in no way very severe priced. Many drug save lines have testers so that you'll be able to attempt the shadows before procuring, you will see that for your self in the experience that they have got the pigment aspect you want. Be very careful of artwork pigments, fantastically some thing produced for positive artwork. the protection guidelines for artwork pigments is distinct than for cosmetics. some are pretty poisonous if ingested. Others will worsen the mucus membranes if there is any contact (it truly is why filters and mask are worn in additional than a number of artwork studios) and some will extremely damage the eyes in the experience that they get interior the eyes. Many are chromium depending, various are derived from petroleum, many are pretty alkaline, and none desire to satisfy any beauty protection guidelines. youngster's tempera powder is yet another tale. those pigments do desire to satisfy non-poisonous protection criteria and they could have a marker on them announcing non poisonous. All artwork substances offered to toddlers desire to be qualified as secure in the experience that they are offered interior the U. S.. youngster's artwork aspects must be quite secure, merely save some thing with tremendous chunks of glitter faraway from the eyes. look on the labels of any artwork pigments. they ought to have a protection label on them. do no longer use any that do not have a protection label on your face. do no longer use any labelled as incorporates metals, chromium derivatives, and labelled "Phthalo" merely because you "examine it someplace" would not advise the advice is precise or secure. carry out slightly of your human being analyze to study about certain pigments..

Try to use them in both ways, they'll suit in any way as long as you know how to apply them. The cheapest on how to apply it is using your fingertips or cotton buds. Applying it wet might clog into your eyes, so try it a bit wet but not too dry.
When you want to buy a cheap eyeshadow brush, it's better to buy it at BodyShop. You can buy a piece and not per set, so get in cheap price.

Go into MAC cosmetics and ask them, they'll actually put it on you and step by step explain how to do it (free), hah. I have a lot of girl friends that learned like that.
