playing through and am with a short in it?

will it short out my guitar?

depends on where your amp is shorting at. It's barely possible to mess up your guitar but it's a risk you run. The power between the guitar and the amp is not much. But if it increases because the amp is broken, that could still mess up the guitar.

its an AMP, not am, and no, it will just mess up the amp even more. but, it could, im not exactly sure.
