I pulled some old text files off of a CD I had burned, placed them back into my documents. Now I cannot open them. I get an error message that reads : Cannot load for windows 6.0 files.
Help please....

Just to be sure, open that file on cd (double-click it). Also, check your file's extension - should be .DOC, or .TXT and not.... .LNK file!

Do not double click your file. Instead, open your Word software (or whatever title you use for text files) and go to File > Open > and select your file from your documents.

try opening them in Wordpad first. See it will open there. Then Save As...to your new document software... Word... WordPerfect... etc.
