DOES ANY ONE HAVE BRACEs???

if you do.... is it really that embarrasing to have them??? and do you hate having them because you look retarted w/ them???
also is there anyone who has braces and doesn't look that bad with them???

I had braces from the time I was a freshman in highschool til the time I was a senior. I got lucky though, I got to get them taken off like a few months right before prom.

Anyway, no I didnt think that they were embarrassing because I knew that when I was done wearing them I was going to have a beautiful smile with straight teeth.

So if you are worried on how they will make you look, dont. Just think that when you are finished wearing them you will have a beautiful smile.

Dont worry about what other people might think of you because of the braces. If you are then try invisaline or get clear braces. But just be you, and remember the out come of wearing them.

Im 25yrs old and I have braces.Young and sassy woman... Im an attractive woman and I only receive positive feed back (when you see me you wouldnt think when I smile I have BRACES!! I love them..and for some odd odd reason guys like them? Almost like "wow you have braces I've always wanted to get them" . The out come of str8 white teeth is very attractive regardless of age. When people talk to me (Im a social butterfly) they always mention my braces and its always positive! Its never negative!! I've never had anyone tell me anything negative. Most people say wow I want them too. Or you cant even tell you have braces.. I have the clear ones not the ones that come off when you want but no color on the wire its just clear. Everytime I look at how str8 my teeth are getting I get so excited!! Im never shy about food getting in my teeth..this is what you call being comfortable in your skin. Regardless of braces or not people get food in there mounths all the time. I eat what I want chew gum ... I love it... You get them b/c thats what you want dont worry about what any loser says to you. b/c in the long run if anyone tells you anything negative about your braces just think well... my teeth will be perfect pretty soon and yours will just be the same o'YELLO teeth. Im proud of mine. There coming off next month!! Im thrilled. I think they can come off now but I'll let myself get one more tightening...LOVE IT!!

I just got one several months ago. At first, I was a little bit embarrassed because I'm in my mid 20s, but I figured that I'd have nice teeth at the end. Also, I hate it when food gets stuck. I don't think that I look retarded with them, and if you're pretty then you'll stay pretty even though you have braces.

i am 14 and have braces. People actually tell me that they dont know what i would look like w/out them. I think i look better w/ them than w/out. It isnt that bad except for food getting stuck in them..:(

I have braces and they are not bad at all. People who give you a hard time about them are totally jealous. Well, no ones ever cared because about 75% of my grade are sporting tin grins and no one ever gives me a second glance. And, no I doubt I look retarded in them 'cause that would lead to social suicide and I have a ton of friends who love me anyway.☺

it's not that bad, and well it's not that embarrassing (except when food gets stuck on them, and people notice) but hey this cute guy asked me out and he said he loved my smile and I was like huh? I've got braces! so I guess you don't look that retarded, and Emma Watson (Hermione on Harry Potter) got on an Elle Girl photo session with braces, so I guess it's not that bad :)

i think the only thing that is embarassing is when food gets caught in it...but everyone goes through them, so it doesn't really matter. if you're pretty, you'll look nice no matter what you get on your teeth, so don't worry! :)

i dont look bad in braces. and like EVRYONE at school has braces, so it doesnt matter.
