middle school dance is not as important or scary as u think. its really fun.
you should wear a cute tank top and a skirt. put a nice top over the tank. it mite be cold at first but it'll start to get warm once u start dancing. for shoes, if its winter then boots if its summer then open toe shoes
for hair, u should tie it up, don't leave it down as it will get hot
whatever hairstyle u like
makeup, well it doesn't reli matter, simple is the key, as it will be dark and ppl won't notice. also, if u put on a lot of makeup and u sweat, when u come out and see the light, it won't look pretty
accesories should be simple too, you don't want them to be hitting ppl wen u dance.
good luck and have fun. oh yea! don't wear a skirt too short cuz its not comfortble wen u dance

So you are in sixth grade, yes? I did a story for the magazine Girl's Life about middle school dances a few years ago. I'm assuming the dance isn't formal at all, like all the guys wear what they wore to school that day and the girls don't get too dressed up. Most people just wear jeans and a cute tank top. You don't want to overdress or all the "popular" people will stare at you and laugh. I would straighten your hair and wear a tank top with maybe some sparkles and your favorite pair of jeans. Or if you want to stand out more, wear a denim mini skirt with black leggings. Shoes= flip flops. You can't go wrong that way! If your school is like most middle schools, not too many sixth graders dance. If you are planning on dancing, though, I would wear your hair up to keep it neat while dancing. Make sure to follow the dress code, and no naughty dancing. It will make you feel most comfortable if you go to the dance with your friends. Plan to carpool with them so when you arrive at the dance, you can all walk in together so you don't feel/look stupid. Most of all, have fun!
I know I am fabulous!

It is a special night that you will remember forever so I say get your hair professionally done. "Comb" thru some hair magazines to get some really pretty up dos. The thing is you want to look different than you do everyday for school. Find you a dress that makes you feel great. Choose a color you get compliments when you wear that color. Don't forget to get some really pretty earrings and necklace to wear with it. No outfit is finished without accessories! Good LUck....even if you just go with girlfriends you will have fun and look beautiful.

It depends if it's more of a classy dance or a regular dance. At my school we wear a pair of jeans and a really cute shirt. If this is ur first dance u don't want to be to dressed up cause they will tease u. wear light makeup and don't overdue it. straighten ur hair and then take a nice clip and put a little peice of hair in it and some cute jewelery is that last touch. I hope u have a great 1st dance, i hoped i have helped u!

1. Go with the theme (like if its al fall festival, then use vibrant, rich colors like orange, red or even a forrest green.)
2. Make sure it fits the dress code!
3. Have something that you can dance in
4. Have your personallity
5. Use funky Accesseries
6. Have a matching purse!
7. Make-up should match your skin tone and under tones NOT the dress. And I think you should either zone on you lips (like a vibrant red with suttle make up) or zone on the eyes (Brown Eye's look Heavenly with green and two coats of mascara) with a pretty nude pink.
8. I think your hair should be either wavy in a high pony tail or like wavy and down, sumthing different. go to www.seventeen.com or www.promspot.com and you'll find awsome hair styles that are in season!
9. Have Fun!!!

I'm in middle school too, so here are some tips... wear a casual blouse. try blue or lime green and maybe a soft pink. try to mix and match. wear a jean mini skirt or nice jeans. straighten your hair as well as posibble. don't go crazy with make up, use light colors like silver. hope this helps!
: ) smile always!

if if is a casual dance...i would just leave you hair down and straight, wear a cute denim mini skirt or shorts, and pair it with a cute flirty top!! It is a little dressy, but yet casual....
if the dance is more formal...you could find a nice, fun dress and pair it with a cute pair of flats!!

I WAS OVERLY DRESSED TO MY FIRST DANCE....
Check with the people you know in a higher grade... and i suggest to wear just a cute top and jeans... dont wear n e thing that you wouldn't wear to school...
you should embrace your natural hair... you can put a little gel or mousse in your hari and the curls will look great.. putting pomade or wax in your hair will help with shine and flyaways...

Let's see part your hair on the side and wear it curly. Wear an outfit in a color you look pretty in. Wear some pretty light pink lip gloss. That would be pretty!
