i get really stressed out over exams and school and everything, and last spring i started burping all the time - while i'm studying, while i'm taking tests, all the time! i went to the dr over the summer and got an ultrasound and ruled out gall bladder problems. my doctor thinks it's due to stress. the burping went away over the summer, but now i'm back in school and it has started again! what can i do to stop it??

Well, when people get anxious, they tend to swallow alot, and air gets into the stomach along with the saliva...which is why you burp alot. I drink alot of water, tends to prevent the swallowing of alot of air. If you drink something like 7up it will help get the air out all at once in large burps, or you take lots of gas-x to reduce the air already in your stomach. But I think you should do alot of deep breathing and try to RELAX more.
