yeah, that didn't present very well. no, i don't think there's a connection between gay and affective disorder. otherwise, the gay writers i know of would be the same as the depressed (not generally the case). was just curious about both things. but i do think that writers are a different class of people, speaking as one myself.

I rather object to you comparing gay to self medicating mood disorders and suicides.. is this your bigotry slip showing? I can think of many gay authors.. as to the others.. probably more than I know about.. but it was/is not related to their sexuality. The same can be said of artists, political figures and Christians... so what is your point?
Self medication/committing suicide happens or is done to people.. gays are people, it does not happen to them. Your comparing apples and orangutans. Which leads me to think you believe all gays are prone to self medication and suicide..or that all writers are prone to those and to being gay, you are delusional if this is your premise.

I am a writer I have no time to be with any one but myself.
Other people have a great influence on you.
They can change you to fit in with the rest of the world.
I rather shape myself.
I don't have disorder or anything else like that.
It just does'nt make sence to me how any one can just live and die, and 500years later be forgotten.
The writers that you have so cruedly mentioned wanted to make something of themselves.
When you realize the only reason for living is death that's what makes you think about suicide, and other paniful emotions as well can lead you to thought of ending your own life.
As long as you breathe the sun will rise tomorrow and there will be a new day.
Just keep on breathing a new day will come.

Truman Capote comes to mind first as he falls into two of those catagories, I also believe there are More writers that self medicate than commit suicide. As far as sexual preferance I really could not say with any certainty.
