I used to get depressed when winter was coming near because I don't like it when the days are short. Then I got to think about it and I came to the conclusion that the dark period isn't really that long. It starts about two weeks in October and it lasts till December 21st 'cause that's the shortest day and from then on the days start to lengthen again. You can really see the difference. At first from week to week but then from day to day. So the time with the really short days last only about eight weeks and I can handle that. By the time it's new year, spring is already getting near. When I feel spring is coming my mood changes for the better 'cause I absolutely loooooooove the spring.

It depends on where you live. I assume if you live in a cold and wet country like the UK you'd love sunshine and warmth a lot! On the other hand if you live in India or Africa you'd love rain in summer now and then b/c those people really get fed up with all the hot weather all the time (except monsoon in India of course lol). So yeah, I guess change in season does affect your mood.

The seasons affect my mood. When it's Spring, I see the wonders of life restarting. When it's Summer, I love it that I'm out of school. Fall is great, because by that time, I'm bored of doing nothing, and I'm ready to see my friends. Winter is great, because it has great holidays. There is nothing like seeing all my friends and family with the Christmas spirit.

yes, it is cold, dark, cloudy, and rainy here all the time and it makes me feel tired. It is only September and there are 8 more months of this crap coming up with heavy snow on the horizon. By January I will want to slit my own throat... But some how I make it every year with out killing myself. I don't know how I do it.

Yes, it does. I don't like the heat so I tend to be more short-tempered in the summer. I like the spring and the fall because it's cooler out and the air feels crisp and clean. Winter is OK as long as I don't have to shovel it but you can't get out of the house sometimes when you would like to which can be frustrating.

Yes, it does. When fall comes, I am happy because I love the look of autumnal trees and pumpkins, and I love Halloween. But when winter approaches, I am not happy for one simple reason: the cold and flu get old pretty quick.

Yeah, I think that towards the end of winter I tend to get twitchy because I am sooo ready for spring.
