I have had allergies for 50 years. The best thing was desensitization shots. My eyes used to glue shut at night as a teen and they had me on experimental drugs (amphetamines) because no antihistimine would work.
Now the shots and clarinex control most of my allergies but I do have to keep my house with no carpeting, no curtains, and my husband does most of the cleaning chores to keep me away from dust and pollens.

I have lived with allergies all of my life. A permanent, daily intake of Vitamine C ( at least 500mg) works; after about a week or so you build up an imunity to the more hard-core allergies.
