The teabag is only a four sided pyramid whereas the egyptians´ were 5 sided. (As in 4 faces and the base, teabags are 3 faces and base).
Useless trivia update: PG came from "Pre Gestive". In the 20s or 30s tea was a big thing and everyone accepted that tea aided digestion so many used that recognised quality as part of their marketing strategy. In an attempt to get an advantage Brook Bond advertised that their tea aided digestion if you drank it BEFORE eating, hence they called it Pre Gestive. The other companies complained that the advertising was untrue and thus brook bond were forced to change the name to PG and drop the publicity.

I don't know if they are ripping off the Egyptians, I don't know if they are sold there, but they are ripping off the rest of us.

You can get the same effect from a normal tea bag by leaving it in for longer and stirring it a bit.
