If you are talking about a music CD make sure it is drive compatible, the paperwork that came with your computer will tell you if it can play Cd's of the music persuasion! Peace!

No of course not. Your computer will play the music on your cd on some media player you choose. Computers will play audio cds and video dvds and burn or download (rip) cds to your computers music library.

I am told that CD drives are not meant to play CDs, but for data. I use my CD drive to play my music every now and then. Even though I hardly ever use a CD to install software or something that isn't related to playing music, I still wanna keep my CD drive in good condition.

It's your desicion though.

now to not my knowledge. I have requested various techs. they conflict to dismiss the question. How can or not that's legal to have someone on your pc once you at the prompt are not sharing, and he sees your files and is into your files and mail or maybe steals your mail through replacing your mail settings. when I tell a tech this they say oh, we may be able to fix that, yet once they replace it, and depart, the hacker can do a similar ingredient.
