Instead of subtracting integers, add the opposite.
14 - 20 = 14 + (-20)
When you add integers with different signs, the answer takes the sign of the integer with the larger absolute value (distance from zero on the number line). In this case, -20 has a greater absolute value, so the answer will be negative.
Then find the difference between the two integers, which is 6, and put the correct sign on the answer.

14-14=0
And 20 is 6 more than 14.
So 14-20 equals 6 less than 0.
So it's -6.

If you got a negative number (-20) bigger than the positive number(14) means -20 + 14 = -6,the positive number deduct the negative number.
If you got a positive number bigger than a negative number, then you know what you're suppose to do right?
(+) + (+) = +
(-) + (-) = -

Judging from your typing, syntax, and the extreme simplicity of your question, I'm going to guess you have a lot of problems. Try reading your math book instead of asking people on line. Who knows, you just might learn something.
