My 10th grade American History teacher was Black and pretty much made the class more or less of an African American Studies class. We pretty much learned about every Black person of any significance from the Revolutionary War to the Million Men March.
Anyway, according to him, "n---er" was invented in the days of slavery by Whites and was meant to be deragatory. Whereas "n---a" was used by Blacks after the Civil Rights movement as a term of endearment.
So the bottom line is you don't want to ever say "n---er", but it's okay to call your friend "my n---a", provided that the two of you are of the same race.

n igga is a slang referance to anyone, friend or not..."that n igga needs a haircut." not intended to be offensive. N igger is intended to be offensive, but is not limited to african americans. anyone that is lazy and thinks they are owed everything while not having any regard for decency or morals is a n igger. prime example....maurice clarrett is a dumb a ss n igger.

N igga is term black people use to talk to someone who is a friend. But if they say something like 'stupid *** ga' then they are degrading the person. But *** ger is a deragatory term no matter how it's used.

Ebonics, or any made up type lingo that inhibits communication should be abolished. People should'nt be allowed to make up their own languages. How the hell would they communicate with the people in their own country? Maybe we should all make up our own language so we can all be "unique" and "cool." Or maybe we could use the language of our own soil, the own that took thousands of years to develop, the one that "helps" people communicate instead of isolating them economically and culturally.

I have lots of black friends who call each other the first word, but I dont like racist words and I dont use them. My best friend is black and I would knock somebody out if they, out of hate or disrespect called her a racist name. I hate that crap!!!!!!!!
