and would like to plan a small getaway, preferably not too far from home, maybe visiting a small qaint town with lots of christmas spirit and activities, I live in south east Ky, and I don't want to visit Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg Tn. Any ideas??

I would go to Georgetown Kentucky near Lexington. There is a really cool Bed and Brealfast that you can stay at that is called Blackridge Hall. My wife and I have stayed there. You are a few miles from the Ky Horse Park, Lexington is very cool and has lots of good restaurants and is very nice to just explore the area. There is a great restarurant called the Merrick Inn in Lexington that is very good.

Lexington is beautiful and would be just what you are looking for.

I merely sense like answering this via i have not been on the following for over 2 months :( properly on Christmas Eve we open pressies at evening and then bypass loopy (with an exception of my mothers and fathers). And on Christmas Day we've a efficient Chirstmas Lunch with all the kinfolk (Russian kinfolk, Ukrainian fam and Czech fam) and we open provides before that. I were given an iPhone4 for Christmas and $2 hundred all jointly. And on Boxing day (at present) I went procuring. considering transferring the following weve grew to change into truly unreligous yet were celebrating it. All my kinfolk is Jewish hahaha and did not have a good time Hannuakah. BQ: Venus

I would think that there would be tons of stuff in your area. I totally understand about Pigeon Forge though. It was a parking lot / dump when I last went.

well i would go someplace with lots of snow and rent a cabin and just stay all my time off there
