Everything is ok and not ok at the same time. It's up to you to decide which one you prefer.

Oh do behave yourself. That is such a dumb question. You know as well as I (and everybody else in the philosophy forum) that ok is a mere semantic construct, and that it's perfectly ok to be not ok as it's perfectly ok to be not a vegetarian or tall or handsome or suntanned or an actor or an apple or hungry. Were you bored when you aked this question?
Apologies - I'm very tired. Time to sign off. No offence.

Yeah - I've been looking for the perfect part time job for three years. Have rejected loads that were not quite right, and some agencies don't offer me opportunities any more. I do as much temp work as I'm comfortable with and spend as much time with my young children as I can. So I'm ok with the fact that I haven't found the perfect part-time job.

Good point.
OK however is relative and subjective especially with regard to your example.
In accepting that the Tylenol isn't working, is that resigning yourself to the pain it didn't relieve....OR is it an impetus to seek another level of OK?

I think so. I mean who really is perfectly "ok"? I think it's good to come to terms with the fact that we will sometimes, if not mostly be "not ok". Unless you are talking about hallucinations, and/or your dog telling you to kill people. In that case, no it's not okay to be not okay, lol.

As long as your healthy, and clean and supplied with food your OK. But sometimes it depends what the problem is. But I think sometimes being not ok rushes to your head and makes you not think properly.

I'm going to have to do a Clinton here and ask, "What is 'is'?"
What is ok?
I am reminded of a book I read 30 years ago, 'I'm Okay, you're Okay". You might want to hunt it up at your local library, pop psychology from the '70's.
One man's 'Okay' is another man's 'Not okay'.
I think we all have to define our own 'ok' and allow others to have their different 'okay'.
