Sex can be determined in snakes by probing posterior to the cloaca, to determine the presence of hemipenes. Typical sexing probes are stainless steel and either ball-tipped or tapered on the end.

That would probably require a herpetologist to give you the answer. Something about the difference in the anal plate (scale) that is gender specific in each species.

For identification of the snakes I find in my snake and yard, I contact the local college herpetology department and am usually able to do so via e-mail with attached photos but have not had to pose this particular question. You might want to take the snake to them.

It will have to be probed. Take it to the vet, or most pet shops can do it.
