How to you get a license for becoming a real theatre group. what website do you go to. I need it because i am starting my own and i have to figure out how to get one so we can show locally!! Please have a website, address, and phone number if you don't have all of thoes just give me 1 or 2 of them, please!!!!!

You don't need a license. You could start a production company with a L.L.C. for about $50 and get a lawyer to do it.

It depends on where you are performing and what you want to do with it. Do you want to be a non-profit that can get donations and whatnot?

If it is just you and a bunch of friends, you won't really need anything.

If you want to start an equity theatre, you need to be recognized by the unions and have enough money to hire professional people.... If you can do that, you should have enough money to go to buisness school to get a degree that will teach you all about it.

You may need inspections for the theater, etc. There may be restrictions on the number of seats you can have, etc.

Call some of the theaters in your city, ask them what is needed.

Check with your city agencies, they can tell you, what you need ro open a theater/grama group.
