I would like to further my education in the medical field but, have no time to go to a traditional college. I was thinking about getting my degree for lpn online but, am concerned that it might be a waste of time when it comes to actually getting hired.

I don't think you can get an LPN online. You can get Associate in Nursing from Excelsior College and take the state boards for RN.
It is easier to pass the clinical if you can become an LPN first.

I started a bachelor degree last year online. I'm in the middle of my 5th course.

I think the key is picking a college or university that is respected so your degree will be respected.
