God has nothing to do with it.

You should treat everyone with respect and dignity REGARDLESS of religon or race. If you discriminate against religon you ARE RACIST.

Some people are just too stuck in their ways to change. They may also have been raised in that environment where it was ok to use racial slurs and comments. Also children are easily influenced so that also plays a big part. There will always be a racist somewhere in the world. It's kind of the balance of life. You have to have both ends of the spectrum. It's the same way in nature.

It is the way they were raised. We are all products of our environment and if you are white growing up with adults in the home that call black people "n i g g e r s" you believe that is their name.

I was in my teens before I realized what a horrible term that is! I was called a racist b i t c h after calling a black girl a ******. I honestly didn't think that I'd said anything bad or mean to her.

I KNOW the difference now and choose not to be a racist, but I think it is how you are brought up.

Sorry, but this is the question that cant be answered.
People can name thousands of reasons why. But none of them will be valid. Just because there cant be any valid reason for people to make someone suffer. All the racists are just satisfying their moral ugliness. I'm feeling just the same about it. But at least we may be sure that they will all burn at hell.

I think for certain people who have had very bad experiences relating to one race it is understandable that they will have prejudices, even if those prejudices are not valid. Also I think lack of familiarity with other races can cause weariness of them, which is human nature.

Everyone is racist to some extent. If you think you have no trace of racism in your mind, you have yourself fooled.
