a website for some popcorn movie bullcrap pops up and tells me my three day trial is over and i must choose a payment methd.
It also reads me my ip address. Is there anyway to stop this from happening?

You have to install ad-aware & spam removers. Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06 is the best i have seen (download from http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5)
Other way is to use good browsers which doesnt allow ads & spams. I would recommend Maxthon browser (http://www.maxthon.com)

It sounds like the Movieline spyware. Definitely get some spyware/adware killers.

perform a google search, search for "pop up blockers", there are several free versions to choose from but often those available at your high street computer store are superior.
