She talks to me like if I am one of her kids and somtimes she blames me for her mistakes. It's only her and myself that work in the office, she's the owner, how do I tell her that I don't like her disrespecting me w/out losing my job?

First off, if this is affecting you outside of work, there is a problem. You do not deserve to be treated like a child. You should sit down with her (maybe take her out to lunch) and tell her that you work very hard to satisfy her, and to do your work as accurately as possible. Tell her that when she disrespects you that it affects the way you perform your duties. In the meanwhile, look around for another job, that way if she did fire you (which I doubt) or you all cannot come to reasonable terms, then you have a back-up. Good luck!

Get another job, then sit down with her and tell her that you're tired of her disrespecting you. You would like to know why she keeps treating you so poorly. If she is sorry, she will not want you to take the other job.

She probably doesn't value you as much as you value her.

I'd quit and tell her off.

be polite but firm. she may back off when she knows that u wil not put up with it, but tell her. however she may be upset with u for reasons (professional or otherwise that she is not telling u about),
if she is a poor communicater or a bully u might b better off somewhere else. one easy way for me 2 deal with it in the past was to set some goals and conditions that would make my job transition easier set a date and leave on my own terms when i was ready. the inbetween time was a lot more pleasant knowing that i was going anyway.

Time for a heart to heart talk with your boss. Tell her how you feel and such. If this does'nt make a difference, then you might want to start searching for a new place of employment. No sense working under these ridiculous conditions. Best of luck.

Buy her a small inexpensive gift and tell her how much you appreciate her being like a second Mother to you! And tell her that your Mother always taught you to respect the feelings of others! This will throw you boss for a loop! Good luck!

well, if she cant take honest critisism, and is petty enough to blame you for her mistakes, you probably wont be able to tell her anything. If she is basically a fair and decent person, you could be tactful and mention the disrespect, if not i guess you'll just have to grin and bear it, or quit.

Act sad and tell her u need councelling. And when she asks u to talk to her Tell her that she hurts ur feelings when she is rude. Pretend to cry a little. That's really effective.
Then she will be nicer to u and might even buy u a present.

I hate bosses like that. She is probably really weak minded and likes making you feel like **** so she can feel good about herself at your expense. Tell her firmly that you do not like the way she talks to you and that it is unnacceptable. If she fires you, sue her *** for discrimination or harrassment. The ACLU will help you if you can prove she says hurtful things to you. Basically I would tell her to **** off, do you really want to continue working there if she is going to treat you like that? Strap it on and tell her where to go.
