I think the PS2 is much better than the XBox. A lot of games come out on both consoles but with the PS2 you also have the fun factor with games like Buzz, Singstar, Guitar Hero, The EyeToy, etc these are great for having at a party or if you and your mates are pissed!
Plus the PS2 only takes up about half the space an XBox will.

Depends on what you want in a console. Better graphics and adult orientated games you'll have to say xbox. Variety of games it'll be ps2. I know at least 15-20 at work that have an xbox and maybe 10 that have ps2. Come into the light Carol-Ann

If you can afford it, get both.
I only have a PS2, and an old PS, and an even older Sega Saturn, oh and a Game Cube that I bought to play the supposedly exclusive Resident Evil 4 game a couple of months before it came out on the PS2.

That to me is an easy question, I had both but took the Xbox back , I didn't really use it, I just traded it in for PS2 games lol

i'd say xbox for the fact of a gaming history chnging halo 2,but
i'd say ps2 did blow away the competition and the original xbox
was just a learning system so microsoft can know what it takes
to appeal to gamers worldwide so,even though im a 360 fanboy
i'd say ps2

GameCube, no question. Everyone copies Nintendo. Besides, Sony ruined videogaming by creating a mass-market machine that created a videogame Hollywood, where software is created purely for cash rather than providing enjoyment. Let's hope the Wii turns it back to being fun again. But out of the two you mentioned, Xbox is better, for many reasons -- better DVD playback for one (admittedly this requires the add-on), built-in hard drive, online enabled out of box (new PS2 might be, but old one wasn't), the games look better (not a major factor, but some PS2 games look nasty, since the machine doesn't have built-in anti-aliasing, and runs at 640x400, as opposed to Xbox and GC's 640x480), Xbox has faster loading times (but not as fast as GC).

There is a reason behind..Getting most votes for XBOX...because..there...Remotes are build really confertablly for our hands...It is like once you hold..you do NOT want to ..leave it( if you don't go to school) ...LOL...
Ps2 is good to ..but most people voted for XBOX so there is got to be some thing ..there...that most people found and other Bul**** did NOT.
