Another Gatling Gun question. How big was the casing at the end of the 1862 model?

You know, the metal case thing that the crank sticks out of and surrounds one end of the barrels.

I would go with the links that Kevin has provided. I have done Civil War reenacting for the last 11 years and am not sure what the size of the casing is. I will tell you, however, that if you can see one of these fired, especially at night, it is really something to see.
