I always liked him.
I'll always support a President who will go after terrorists.
And as far as those polls go- Hell, I could start one right now:
Has anything Bush done while in office killed you? Are you glad to be alive?
Wow- he would have a 100% approval rating under my poll.
Let's face it, the others are just as slanted in the other direction.

What? Do you think that the President should be a leader or homecoming king?
As a heart felt Democrat, I must apologize to the other posters for idiots that post questions that are really rants.
I want to have discussions with Republicans and Libertarians, not just point fingers.
I wish there could be some intelligent discussion of political issues on Yahoo Answers.

"even with the indisputable fact that, a rosier view of the protection rigidity difficulty in Iraq has no longer translated into higher help for holding U.S. forces in Iraq, more advantageous optimism that america will benefit its targets there, or an progression in President Bush's approval rankings." What about this?

I don't think Bush makes any American feel safer or insecure. I don't think this president is leading policy, action or debate on ANYTHING. I don't feel insecure because I know America is based on a strong foundation, of open debate and organized defense. Who runs it, shouldn't matter. It is each American's responsibility to know the facts, vote and act accordingly and make sure the national unity and social fabric does not fray in the face of challenge and attack.

Not really, no...I appreciate that he really believes in the things that he says but I think as president he should represent/report to the country. US citizens are essentially his boss, because our government is set up so that we have an executive to represent us. If my boss was giving me low approval ratings, I would have to change something that I'm doing, now wouldn't I? I'm not saying he should stop doing the things he believes in; I just think he should accept the fact that he is not a monarch or a dictator who can and should do whatever he wants without regard for how Americans feel about the action.

Yes I do, and it's because the majority of Americans are clueless to the complexities of foreign policies and law, they do not hear the security briefing from all the top security agencies EVERY morning like the president ,nor do many of then have the strength to do what needs to be done no matter how unpopular it is. I was not very popular with my sons when they had to be home at a certain time, but I did not back down to get better numbers with them.

Yes and I dont base the Presidents ability to keep us from getting attacked again on polls. He has been true to his word..,the man has the guts to go over to Iraq and Afghanistan twice to meet with our soldiers..,Clinton sure in the hell didnt do that because he hated our military. He has brought respect back to the white house like he said he would..,he got rid of the trash and if hes wrong he admits it.And he doesnt do interns with cigars.

I have only lived hear through two or three presidencies but I feel much safer with Bush than I did/would with Clinton or Kerry or Gore. I believe that bush does his job pretty well considering all that has happened through his two terms. :)

I don't like him. I don't feel safer with him. If he was up for re-election his actions would change. Just look at what happened to Bush, Sr.
