It all depends on your computer speed as well as the internet connection. To run good audio and video, you need at least 512 Megs of ram and a couple of Gigs of power in your processor.
If you don't have the above, you can do an msconfig, and shut down unneeded programs. That is what I did to my windows 98SE...Greatly improved the "buffering" problem.
On my 1024 Meg, 2.93 Gig processor, 200 Gig + dual 500 Gig externals...I have no problems at all...

You must be playing the songs. Downloads don't buffer, they just go faster or slower, but you can't play what you don't have. If you are on dial-up, or on a cable or DSL lite connection, playing a song or video will required buffering. If you are on a regular cable or DSL line, and are still buffering, then your song is coming through a bottleneck somewhere. Your connection is only as fast as the slowest connection between your PC and the other PC or server.

Nothing wrong with the PC, but your internet connection seems to be too slow for songs. Streaming audio need higher speeds depending on the bit rate (determines the quality) Or else the server you are trying to connect to may be busy. try another audio stream to see what's wrong.

Not enough memory will cause this . A slow connection or a combination of the two.
