His parents are at risk of splitting up. His dad is having the whole midlife crisis thing, and has gotten another woman pregnant because of it. Recently his mom found his dad eating with the woman. She flipped out. I'm taking his mom's side, but he yelled at his mom for not trusting his dad... I don't know what to say. I'm not even supposed to know. His cousin told me because I was so worried. Help?

wow my parents are split up but cuz of anything like that. try not to take sides! (although I'm with his mom too) be neutral!!! this is a REALLY hard time for him, trust me been through it. also know it isn't going to get any easier. i would just comfort him don't tell him it will get better that's what everyone says. try to get him out of the house as much as possible. there isn't much you can do but comfort and tell him things will work them selves out. hope this helps

I can understand your feelings. I had a similar situation when I was young, too. The best suggestion I have for you is to show each parent, in your own way, that you are supportive of them.

Since you don't want to "pick a side" to be on (which I think is best, anyway) then showing them you are still their daughter NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS is important.

Sometimes parents stay together "because of the children". I don't think this is a good solution most of the time. Eventually, as you already know, the children can feel the tension.

I hope your family can either mend the situation or change it without too much trouble. Good luck to you all.

hey...dont take either the mother or the father side...just be there for your boyfriend...whatever happens....happens for a reason...and if it all falls down...your boyfiend is going to need someone to talk to....so you have to be the listener and the person that can give him some encouraging words to help him get through this....but until he says something about his parents...you shouldnt worry about it because if he finds out that you heard about his parents...he may turn his anger around on you and his cousin for tellin you.....

one it is not your business.

two that is their relationship not yours or your boyfriends for that matter.

they are adults let them figure it out for themselves. would you want someone meddeling your relationship just cause you do not want to split up.

"when you have not even been there for the ups and downs

they married each other not you and your boyfriend unfortunately if he jumps in the middle could be thowing himself in the cross fire.

advice: just give support to your boyfriend and do not lean to either side.

this relationship is thier responsibility, you are not there to live the relationship suggest marriage counseling for the both of them other than that do not take sides.

you will just get brought into the mess that they have created remember there are always two sides to the story

remember who are you to give definition as to what happiness is for someone other than you.

let them find out what it is they want for themselves not you.

Stay out of this. . . you will get yourself in trouble. . . and besides it is really none of your business. You need to support your b/f, nothing more. DO NOT TAKE SIDES.

Keep out of it. It's not even your family. Mind your own business and let them sort it out.
